Preferred dental provider
HBF pays the same dollar benefit on all dental treatment regardless of the dental provider. As a HBF Member Plus provider, Nunyara Dental has an agreement to guarantee patients’ out-of-pocket expenses on preventative dental treatment, which means a guaranteed 75% – 100% back. Plus, eligible members receive one fully covered scale and clean per calendar year.
Nunyara Dental is a HCF More for Teeth provider, which means HCF members with extras cover can claim 100% back on a range of common diagnostic and preventive services (subject to your annual limits and waiting periods). Eligible treatments include one or two check-ups per calendar year, scale and clean, fluoride treatment and mouthguards.

Dental scheme participant
Medicare is Australia’s universal health scheme. When providers are willing to accept the Medicare benefit as full payment for a service, they bill the government directly (bulk-billing) and the patient is not charged.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) will fund all dental services, provided under DVA arrangements, necessary to meet a clinical need for Gold Card holders. For White Card holders, dental treatment can only be provided in relation to your accepted disabilities.
Please present your DVA Gold or White Card at the beginning of a consultation or before you receive treatment. The dental provider will assess your clinical need and provide treatment if necessary, under DVA arrangements.
